The 4th year naturopathic clinical intern team for 2013/2014!

As you probably know, my classmates and I have completed our 3rd year of naturopathic medical school and are about to embark on our 12-month clinical internship and final year as naturopathic medical students.

My brilliant classmates and I start to practice tomorrow, from 9 am – 7 pm at various locations around Toronto and the GTA, and we are accepting new patients!

Our primary teaching clinic is called the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, located at 1255 Sheppard Ave. E, at Leslie subway station, across from North York General Hospital. Visits cost $41 for one hour of care, or $15 for students. Patients at the RSNC have expressed a high level of satisfaction with the care, medical attention and positive outcomes they experience. RSNC offers a variety of specialty shifts including focuses in pediatrics, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, sports medicine and cancer care.

In addition to the RSNC, 4th year naturopathic interns practice out of a variety of satellite clinics, which provide care free of charge for specific populations:

The Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic: Located at Brampton Civic Hospital, the teaching clinic offers naturopathic visits to community members and hospital staff, free of charge. Sherbourne Community Naturopathic Care: Located at Sherbourne Health Centre at Sherbourne station, in Toronto, the program offers naturopathic care for HIV positive patients on Tuesday and Wednesay. It is also home to the LGBT Primary Care Clinic, offering naturopathic care for members of the community free of charge. Queen West Community Health Centre: Offering naturopathic care to patients of the community health centre or referrals from the centre on Fridays and Saturdays, the Queen West CHC is located at 168 Bathurst St. The website is: http://www.ctchc.com/site_qw/programs.html

Parkdale Community Health Centre: Located at 1229 Queen St. West, Parkdale provides free naturopathic care to patients around the community on Tuesday afternoons.
